What Does a Prison Officer Actually Do?
Every day is different. You’ll be the person on the ground, responsible for maintaining safety and security while also playing a vital part in the rehabilitation of prisoners. Your role will involve :

Building Relationships: You’ll supervise prisoners day-to-day, setting clear boundaries while showing empathy and respect.

Maintaining Safety: This includes everything from routine security checks and searches to responding calmly and professionally to incidents.
