Main Duties
As a Journeyman Pipefitter in the Facility Management Service, you would ensure that our medical facility’s key infrastructure functions effectively. Your main responsibilities include setting up, changing, and repairing new and old high-pressure piping systems, troubleshooting and inspecting piping systems for safety and effectiveness, repairing and maintaining main utilities including the water, sewerage, and gas systems, and setting up and servicing steam-driven medical equipment such as autoclave sterilizers and washer sterilizers.
You will also perform activities from plans, drawings, and verbal instructions to accomplish tasks and keep all hand and power tools in proper operating conditions. This is a job that involves, from time to time, supporting the facility during off-hours for utility disruptions as well as maintenance activities. An Alternate Scheduling plan is in place.
Qualifications
In order to meet requirements for the job, candidates must be an American citizen and show knowledge, skill, and ability to conduct the functions of a pipefitter. No particular experience is demanded, but your resume should show substantial proof of training and experience.
