Essential Qualifications

To be considered for these registered nurse jobs in First Nations communities, you must have :​

• Eligibility for registration as a Registered Nurse in a Canadian province or territory.

• Recent and significant experience (defined as 2 years full-time or 4 years part-time in the last 5 years) in a field such as Community Health, Public Health, Acute Care, or Home Care.

• A valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

• A valid driver’s license and a willingness to travel to communities, sometimes for extended periods.

Personal Suitability

• Strong integrity and respect for others, with a deep understanding of cultural competence.​

• Excellent communication skills to connect with patients, families, and community partners.​

• The ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.​
